Anambra State Government yesterday marked the 84th Posthumous Birthday of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu The icon, general and freedom fighter was born on the 4th of November, 1933 in the northern Nigerian town of Zungeru to Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, an Nnewi businessman and one-time richest man in West Africa. He joined the Nigerian army in 1957, rising to become its first indigenous Quartermaster. It was all tears and sorrow today in the Egbu Unuenem Otolo community in Nnewi as the bodies of a set of twins aged 10 years were found hidden in the fridge at their home. According to sources, the twins were said to be missing since yesterday and the frantic parents and family members looking for them unaware that they were tucked in the fridge in their own home. It was not until 2am that their bodies were discovered hidden in the fridge by their mother who wanted to get some water. She was said to have gone to the fridge to get some water, opened it only to see her sons whom everyone had been looking for the previous day and fainted. Sympathizers and family members who spoke to our correspondent opined that some person(s) must have sneaked into the house and murdered them in cold blood and dumped their bodies in the fridge while their parents were away.
